1.
Clean everything thoroughly inside and out! Cleaning and getting rid of the clutter go hand in hand. Now is the time to pull out moving boxes. As your cleaning, start packing items that you know you can do without until you move. If your cabinets, countertops, and closets are cluttered, buyers will think there is inadequate space. So clean it up and clear it out. Your spaces will appear larger.

6. If you see it isn't working correctly, fix it. Buyers don't want leaky faucets, or half gone and molding caulk around a tub. A clean functioning home = a well maintained home in a buyers eyes.
7. Clean your carpets and grout on tiled floors.

2.
Paint - Freshly paint rooms a neutral color. A neutral color will make your house appear brighter, larger and more appealing to potential buyers. Look at paint as money in a can. It's a small investment that will bring you a good return. Buyers want a home that is move in ready.
3.
They say kitchens and bathrooms sell homes. Dated, worn cabinets are a huge turn off to buyers. Instead of paying a huge amount of money to replace them, stain or repaint them. Add stylish new hardware and your rooms will look new and fresh for less than a couple hundred dollars.

8.
Address your ceilings. Clean the ceilings and get rid of cob webs. Fix all cracks and give your ceilings a fresh coat of paint if need be.
9. Get rid of odors. Smoking and pet odors are offensive to some people and will seriously detour buyers if they are not addressed properly.
10.
Replace all burnt out light bulbs. Your home needs to be bright and cheerful when potential buyers visit your home.

4.
Replace old worn countertops. If a buyer can't visualize cutting food on your countertops, it's time to replace them.
5. Upgrade your kitchen appliances. Stainless-steel appliances are definitely in with buyers. New kitchen appliances bring high returns from sellers and will give your home an advantage over the competition.

|
11. Stage your rooms to show off their true potential. Again you'll need to clear out clutter and personal items that can potentially distract buyers. Furnish your spaces to show how functional they are. Buyers want to love what they see the moment they step through your front door.
As a complimentary service to my clients I can help you stage your home to truely make it look at it's best.
